DEWCY’S FIRST SQUEEZE
Hi lovelies, my name is Alex and I want to welcome you all to the official blog of DEWCY!
We are going to be using this little piece of momentary respite to update you on all things DEWCY.
And what’s DEWCY you may be asking?
Well before we tell you, I have some good news and bad news, which one would you like to hear first? Considering I can’t hear you for obvious reasons, I’m going to go with the bad news, most people opt for that! Well, the bad news is that this blog will only be updating itself twice a week; but don’t worry, while this means you won’t be getting as much gossip a week, the good news is that what you will receive will hopefully satiate all the DEWCY all of you guys will be clamouring for.
So…….what exactly is DEWCY?
DEWCY is a skincare brand that focuses on what YOU want. We know (from talking to you all) that you are sick and tired of being pushed this narrative of aspirational beauty, by companies who hardly know their customers. We know that you’re looking for something more, you deserve more! Something genuine! something real! That’s why DEWCY was founded.
No more false hope & hype, just truthful beauty.
Our mission is to help make you confident in your own skin.
The concept of DEWCY arose from the idea that Sarah, the founder of DEWCY, believed that ‘clean’ beauty is a myth. For Sarah, she questioned if something isn’t considered ‘clean’ beauty, then what exactly is it??? She questioned why we should only be using products labelled ‘clean’ and she noted that the beauty industry had shifted from promoting their beauty products to using scaremongering tactics. DEWCY isn’t like that, not one bit, we believe in advocating for achievable beauty with a 100% transparent “What We Know You Know” policy. We focus on being that loyal friend in your life that gives you the truth bombs (even when you might not want to hear them!) Some of you will have already seen that our first skincare to drop is not your typical moisturiser/lotion - DEWCY has formulated, based on scientific research, a better, more sustainable way to care for your skin barrier, restoring and nourishing it so that you look and feel your best.
And what is that you may be asking?
BARRIER REPAIR BALMS!!!!!!
So why balms, I again assume you’re asking?
Well, according to research, most moisturisers contain between 65% - 85% water, with some lotions even exceeding 90% water, you’re basically covering yourself in Buxton Water at that rate. DEWCY’s Beauty Balms, however, contain a big fat 0% of water – so it’s not just better for the environment, it’s not just more sustainable, it’s NOT only better for your wallet as it lasts longer, it also requires zero preservatives meaning it’s better for sensitive skin. They also provide a protective barrier on your skin, making sure your skin is always protected no matter what! On top of that, all the products are 100% vegan friendly, can this get any better?! (yes, it does but we will save that for a future blog post!) One of the biggest things that DEWCY makes a priority is promoting, and sourcing ethically produced ingredients for the products we’re providing, without any compromise on quality with all our products being scientifically backed and dermatologically tested. For us, only the best is anything but acceptable, and in order to help give back, we’ve partnered with the climate crisis organisation, Ecologi. We also give back to the environment by giving a portion of our profits each year to a chosen charity, which this year we’ve chosen the one, the only, World Wildlife Foundation. These little blog posts have some big things planned in the works, and we can’t wait to update you in the future on our upcoming projects and articles.
